Agriculture participates with the Egyptian delegation in the first international conference on food safety in African countries

Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Dr. Ashraf El-Marsafy, Director of the Central Laboratory for Residues of Pesticides and Heavy Metals in Food, Dr. Ali Sulaiman, Chairman of the Committee on Phytosanitary Safety and Dr. Eman Salem, Director of the Institute of Food Technology, participated in the Egyptian delegation to the International Conference on Food Safety In the African countries, which was elected Egypt to the presidency of the African Union this year.
The aim of the participation is to exchange and exchange information, to define the food safety system and Egypt's capacities to meet the challenges of food safety, laboratory capabilities and tests in the event of trading and storage, and to contribute to the activation of cooperation among African countries in building capacities for African countries, especially foodborne pathogens, pesticide residues and heavy metals Fresh food or factory.
The Egyptian participation in the meetings of the African Union shows the interest of the Egyptian state to exchange experiences and build capacity for the continent and support the trade exchange of African countries between it and some of the world and also promotes consumer in local food

It is worth mentioning that the first international conference on food safety in the African countries was held in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on the sidelines of the African Union meetings, which is currently being held by Egypt.
