الخبرات والمهام القيادية
رئيس/ عضو فريق للحملات القومية للنهوض بالمحاصيل الاستراتيجية (الذرة الرفيعة، الذرة الشامية، القمح، القطن، المحاصيل البقولية، الموز) في عدة محافظات.

باحث رئيسي ومشارك في العديد من المشروعات البحثية التطبيقية التي تهدف إلى تقييم فاعلية وسائل المكافحة المختلفة ودراسة ديناميكية آفات المحاصيل الحقلية والبستانية.

المشاركة الفعالة في البرنامج القومي لمكافحة ذبابة الفاكهة على مستوى الجمهورية.

الإشراف العلمي على عدد من رسائل الماجستير والدكتوراه، وحصول إحدى الرسائل تحت إشرافه على جائزة أفضل رسالة ماجستير للمضمون العلمي (2016).

المجالات البحثية والاهتمامات العلمية
تتركز جهوده البحثية في المجالات التالية:

إدارة الآفات الحشرية للمحاصيل الحقلية: (خاصة المن، الذبابة البيضاء، نطاطات الأوراق) على محصولي الفول البلدي وفول الصويا.

المكافحة المتكاملة والمكافحة الحيوية: تقييم كفاءة المكافحة الحيوية باستخدام الأعداء الحيوية (مثل الطفيليات والحشرات المفترسة) والفطريات الممرضة للحشرات ضد الآفات المستهدفة.

تقييم المقاومة الوراثية في النباتات: دراسة مدى تحمل الأصناف والهجن المختلفة من المحاصيل (مثل فول الصويا، الطماطم، القمح) لغزو الآفات.

دراسات المسح والتعداد: رصد وتوثيق التذبذب الموسمي لتجمعات الآفات وأعدائها الحيوية في النظم الزراعية المختلفة.

تطوير بدائل المبيدات الكيميائية: تقييم فاعلية المستخلصات النباتية والزيوت والعوامل الطبيعية في المكافحة.

تأثير الممارسات الزراعية: دراسة تأثير مواعيد الزراعة وكثافة النبات على شدة الإصابة بالآفات والمحصول النهائي.

عضوية الجمعيات العلمية
عضو الجمعية العربية لعلوم وقاية النبات.

عضو الجمعية المصرية لعلوم الحشرات.

عضو الجمعية المصرية للمكافحة البيولوجية للآفات.

المؤتمرات وورش العمل
شارك بعدد من الأبحاث في مؤتمرات محلية ودولية رفيعة المستوى، منها:

المؤتمر الدولي السادس عشر لوقاية النباتات (جلاسكو، بريطانيا، 2007).

المؤتمر العربي التاسع لعلوم وقاية النباتات (دمشق، سوريا، 2006).

المؤتمر الدولي الثاني لمعهد بحوث وقاية النباتات (الجيزة، مصر، 2002).

حضر العديد من المؤتمرات وورش العمل المتخصصة في مجالات المكافحة البيولوجية والتكنولوجيا الحيوية.

التدريب وبناء القدرات
حاصل على عدد من الدورات التدريبية المتقدمة في مجالات:

النظم الخبيرة الزراعية (المركز القومي للبحوث).

التكنولوجيا الحديثة في معاملات البذرة (شركة سينجنتا).

السلامة المهنية والتعامل مع المبيدات (المعمل المركزي للمبيدات).

المكافحة المتكاملة للآفات.

الكتابة العلمية واللغة الإنجليزية (TOEFL).

الإنتاج العلمي
له إسهام بحثي متميز تمثّل في نشر أكثر من 25 بحثًا علميًا في مجلات محكمة ومؤتمرات دولية ومحلية مرموقة.

تغطي أبحاثه نطاقًا واسعًا من الآفات (المن، الذبابة البيضاء، العناكب، الحفارات، التربس) على محاصيل متنوعة (الفول، الصويا، القمح، الذرة، الطماطم، القطن، الموز).

ساهم في تسجيل أول حالة لآفة جديدة في مصر (البق الدقيسي Phenacoccus solenopsis على الموز).
