الباحث احمــــــــــــد ســـــــــــــــــراج الديـــــــــــــن محمــــــــــــــد هاشــــــــــــم متخصص في مجال وقاية النباتات وحماية المخزون الغذائي، مع تركيز بحثي رئيسي على تطوير استراتيجيات المكافحة الآمنة والمستدامة لآفات الحبوب والمواد المخزونة. تشمل اهتماماته البحثية دراسة السمية النسبية للمبيدات الكيميائية والمستحضرات الحيوية والطبيعية ضد الآفات الرئيسية، مع تقييم آثارها الجانبية على الكائنات غير المستهدفة مثل النحل ودودة الحرير. يهدف من خلال أبحاثه إلى تقليل الاعتماد على المبيدات التقليدية من خلال البحث عن مركبات طبيعية جديدة وتطوير برامج المكافحة المتكاملة (IPM).

يمتد عمله ليشمل دراسة بيولوجيا وبيئة آفات الصحة العامة مثل البعوض والقوارض، ووضع خطط المكافحة للمنشآت الحيوية. كما يشارك بنشاط في المشاريع الوطنية لمكافحة الجراد الصحراوي وتقييم فعالية مبيدات الحبوب المخزونة. يستخدم الباحث في منهجه أدوات متقدمة مثل المحاكاة الجزيئية والالتحام الجزيئي (Molecular Docking) لفهم آلية تأثير المركبات وتصميم مبيدات أكثر دقة.

يشرف الباحث على عدد من رسائل الماجستير والدكتوراه في جامعات المنصورة وطنطا، ويتحكم في مجلات علمية دولية مرموقة في مجالي الحشرات وآفات المخزون. يمتلك خبرة واسعة في تنظيم المؤتمرات العلمية وورش العمل، كما يقدم استشارات علمية وتدريباً عملياً للمزارعين والخريجين في مجال مكافحة آفات المخزون والصحة العامة.

تتركز الاهتمامات البحثية في دراسة السمية والتأثيرات الحيوية للمبيدات الكيميائية والطبيعية ضد آفات الحبوب والمواد المخزونة، وآفات الصحة العامة التي تصيب المنشآت والمؤسسات المختلفة. وتشمل الاهتمامات البحث عن بدائل طبيعية وحيوية فعالة لتقليل الاعتماد على المبيدات الكيميائية، ودراسة آثارها الجانبية على
