Achievements

Since the development of the department and til now, it deals with the production of the following vaccines with high qualtiy and enough amounts for the local market and a possibility for exportation: 1- Inactivated cell culture rabies vaccine for all animal species. 2- Inactivated cell culture bovine ephemeral fever vaccine for cattle and buffaloes. 3- live attenuated cell culture canine distemper vaccine for dogs. 4- Live attenuated cell culture canine parvo vaccine for dogs. 5- Isolation and identification of the local strains of canine of canine adeno virus 1 and2 and bovine ephemeral fever virus. 6- Master and philosophy thesis in veterianry virology and infectious diseases in addition to several researches according to the research plane of the department which aim to improve vaccine production and quality. 7- Training courses in the department related fields for the institute research staff member, Arabian and Afro Asian visitors and students of veterinary faculties.
