Achievements

1-Running research in the field of using natural sources in producing bakery products relating to special food consuming categories, e.g.
a- foods lowering blood sugar
b- bakeries for adjusting high blood pressure
c- baby and eldery foods
2-Runnig research to reduce environmental pollution,
e.g.
a-Using rice in producing foods
b-Using some agricultural wastes in producing low calorie foods,
3-Runing research to improve the technological properties for some bakery products,
4- Running research to increase the nutritional and value of some bakery product,
5-Running research for producing bakery products for special nutritional cases, e g. using corn flour in producing products for people allergic to gluten,
6-Running research for using wheat alternatives to reduce wheat imported by Egypt
7-Running interdepartmental research with other departments of the FTRI,
8-Running 46 M. Sc theses 40 of them have been approved
9-Running 48 Ph.D theses 40 of them have been approved
10-Promotion of some researchers to senior and chief researchers
11-Participuting in the training programs of the F T R I in training the undergraduate students of different govenates on some lab analyses.
12-Participating in the (N A R P) by submitting some projects and training some researchers in the (USA),
13-Participating in a project for decreasing bread wasting (under the supervision of Pr Ahmed Khorshid) in 1988,
14- Participating in the conference for Arab bread – making in 1988
15-Participating in the national project for producing and developing functional foods and encouraging its utilization (in cooperation with the Scientific Research and Technology Academy , National Association of Medical Control , and Faculty of Agriculture Ain Shams University) in 2003 to 2006
16- Participating in the project of determination of consumption behavior of Arab Citizens in 2006
17- Participating in a project that aims to reduce wheat losses through different stages ( milling – baking) of bread – making in 2006/2007
18-Participating in evaluating and analyzing samples of Ministry of Supply in the period of 1995 to1999
19- Running quality tests on wheat and other grains. Also running sensory evaluation on bread and bakery products
20-Participating in presenting lectures in the FTRI
21-Participating in preparing training courses in the FTRI
22-Participating in scientific conferences within and outside the FTRI
23- Participating in analyzing samples coming from different FTRI outside sources
