Objectives

Two main fields of research carried out are bioremediation in controlling aquatic pollution and research on enhancement ovulation and reproduction most fresh and marine water fish species:
A- Fish physiology:
1-Use of physiological and biochemical measure in pollution biology:
- study research on effect some bacterial contamination, heavy metals, pesticides on biochemical and physiological changes in fish.
-Physiological biochemical and histo- pathological studies in organisms such as fish can be used in three ways in pollution control.
2- Plans are draw up to undertake research on extraction or used of nutriceutical and pharmaceutical compound (vitamins, growth promoters and antimicrobial compound)
3- Protection the fish from heavy metals contamination by using different adsorbents substance.
4- Study relation between aquatic toxicology and fish physiology: such as
- Studies of different levels of protein and heavy metals pollution treatment on fish physiology and growth performances.
5-Biochemical effect of some chemical on the activity of some enzymes in tissues of fresh water fish.
B- Reproduction
1- Effect of different pollutants on larval, juvenile growth and reproductive fish.
2- Reproduction of most fish species.
3- Study research on hormones which controlling and enhancement fish reproduction
4 –Natural and artificial spawning of most fresh water fish species (Tilapia, common carp, silver carp, grass carp, black carp, catfish and Nile perch ).
5- Improve fry nursing and rearing in earth pond.
6- Produce mono sex population of tilapia by using sex reversal techniques.
