National Laboratory for quality control of poultry production(NLQP)

Introduction

The Central Laboratory for Veterinary Quality Control on Poultry Production was established in March 2003 in Animal Health Research Institute as National Laboratory for Veterinary Quality Control on Poultry Production (NLQP). The lab duties were specified in the ministerial decree no. 1686 (year 2001) and ministerial decree no. 621 (year 2004).

In March 2006 by the ministerial decree no. 227 year 2006 the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation issued this decree to reconsider the national lab as Central lab in Egypt which report directly to Agricultural Research Center (ARC).
CLQP Policy

The lab holds legal responsibility for its operations by decrees no. 227 year 2006 issued by Minister of Agriculture.
The lab is authorized to charge customers (exporters, importers, producers) for the services. The revenues are directed to support the laboratory activities.
The laboratory is a permanent facility and responsible to carry out its work in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC17025 and organizations providing recognition and to satisfy the needs of the customers.
The lab has policy and procedure to ensure the protection of its customer’s confidentiality.
The quality team is responsible for planning, organizing, reporting, personnel training and documenting the management system.
The quality manager and his/her deputy report directly to the director.
The lab has heads of units who have overall responsibility for technical operations in his/her unit.
The lab analysts have the responsibility to implement good lab practices and lab management ensures that personnel are aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the quality system.
The administration staff is responsible for the personnel affairs, accounting, purchasing and electronic reports release.
