Future Activities

1- Sorghum Dep. and Protection Research Institute co-operates to find out the suitable methodology to get ready from bird damages.
2- Screening our CMS lines under high temperatures to avoid heat shock and to identify the stable ones.
3- Screening our new genotypes under low-input (drought & low fertility) and salinity conditions.
4- Releasing new OPV from our advanced segregating generation.
5- Using our local tall materials in the conversion program with suitable exotic sorghum varieties.
6- Making backcrossing between the supper sorghum (ABS-1 and/or ABS-2) and our Egyptian materials (OPV, lines and hybrids) in order to get the new traits in our materials and to produce ABS-product able to survive under Egyptian environments.
7- Looking forward to make strong program with Laboratory sub-Weed Research
