Perception of Agricultural Extension Workers in Sohag Governorate For Nature Agriculture Extension Work
Abstract: Main objectives of the research were to identify the: Perception level of agricultural extension workers about concept، objectives، philosophy and principles of agricultural extension work، also to identify the relationship between the studied independent variables and their perception degree of nature agriculture extension work.
Random sample was selected from agricultural extension workers in Sohag Governorate. The total sample size of 112 extension workers was determined by using Krejcie and Morgan equation. Field data was collected in May and June 2016 using personal interviews questionnaire. Frequencies، percentages، arithmetic means، standard deviation and person test and chi squire were used as tools for statistical analysis.
The main results could be summarized as follows:
- Perception level of extension workers about concept، objectives، philosophy and principles of agricultural extension work were average، where the percentage of the average degree of Perception was 66.7%، 72،6%، 70،0%، 63،85%.
- Perception level of extension workers about nature agriculture extension work were average، where the percentage of the average degree of perception was 70.9%.
- There are significant differences between perception degree of nature agriculture extension work and each of: duration of work in agricultural extension and exposure to agricultural extension in the media، while no significant differences between perception degree of nature agriculture extension work and other dependent variables which was studied.
