The relationship of some variables with the satisfaction of female agricultural extension workers to extension service in some governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt

Abstract: The study aimed at identifying the female Agricultural extension workers' level of satisfaction toward the extension work, determining the relationship between this satisfaction level and some related studied independent variables, and determining with in explaining the variation in the dependent variable, also the study aimed at identifying the obstacles which preventing the female agricultural extension workers from performing their extension work directed to develop rural women as they viewed perceived.
Data were collected from six governorates which are: El-Gharbiya, El-Menoufeyia, El-Sharkeyia, El-fayoum, Beni Swief, and Asueyout. The sample of the study which reached to (172) respondents were selected randomly with ratio representing 50 percent of the total female agricultural extension workers of the rural development department who working with rural women for at least more than one year.
Simple correlation, step Wise Regression, tables, frequencies, and percentages were used to present and analyze data statistically.
The study revealed these result:
1-More than three quarters of the investigated female agricultural workers have medium level of satisfaction towards the extension work.
2-There was significant relationship at 0.05 level between the satisfaction degree of female agricultural extension workers towards the extension work and only three independent variables which were: the number of the agricultural extension courses studied at the university, the benefit of the female agricultural extension workers and the knowledge degree of the female agricultural extension workers of the agricultural extension activities concerning with developing rural women.
3-He study result showed also that one independent variable among the three related independent variable was contributed significantly in explaining the variation in the dependent variable, and this variable was; the benefit of the female agricultural extension workers from the previous training in their extension work.
4-The study revealed tat the most important problems preventing the female agricultural extension workers from performing their activities to developing rural women were; shortage of the transportation means, roads difficulties an the low incentives.
