The contribution of planters -the members of the farm consultant council- in achieving their extension aims in some goverates in A.R.E

Abstract: The research aimed at deciding the knowledge extent of the subjects of the planters the members of the farm consultant councils of the bases of forming councils, their working system and their extension activities as well the extent of their contribution in achieving the extension aims for their projects, their evaluating of the benefit size of planters from these projects and kneeing the difficulties that face the farm consultant councils in achieving their extension aims from their point of view. Data was collected from a sample of planters members of farm consultant councils whose number was 153 in govemorates of Sharkia, Gaza, Assuit by using a questionnaire form by interview. Results were presented by using number counting , percentages, the mean and average percentage.
The most important results were as follow:
-Raising the percentage of the knowledge extent of the planter subjects the members of the farm consultant councils of the bases of forming the farm consultant councils and their working system (%82.1).
-The knowledge extent of these subjects of the councils extension activities were average ( 68.6 %).
-Concerning the subjects' contributions in achieving the councils' extension activities; it was shown that the contribution's extent in developing the knowledge and skills of the planters were high and reached (76.7%) respectively while this percentage was average related to developing planter's skills ( 70 %) and low related to developing planter's ( 54.8 %) .
-About the half of the subjects ( 51.6 %) sees that the number of planters benefited from the council's projects was great and ( 52.8 % ) see that the council's projects are productive.
-There are number of difficulties that face achieving the extension aims of the farm consultant councils, the most important of them are; the non-contribution planters the members of the farm consultant councils in the activities of planning the extension programs ( 62.8 %) the non–existence of co-operation among the farm consultant councils in same activities, (62.8 %), the weak co-ordination among the councils and unions in the activities of great financial abilities (58.2%), the weakness of the financial abilities of some councils which weakens their educational abilities (56.2%), the non-interest of officials in solving some problems that are aroused by the council's members ( 54.9%), the non-sharing of the council's members in the activities of assessing the extension programs (53.6%) and the interference of some administrative organs in the work of the council's activities ( 50.3 %).
