Farmers adoption of sugar — beet crop production recommendations package between wide and limted dissemination areas at Menia and Kafr El-sheikh governorates
Abstract: The study seeks to achieve the following objectives: Determining the difference between the adoption degrees of each recommendation in sugar-beet package and farmers' total degree In Sidy Salem (the high cultivated area) and Fewa (the low cultivated area) in Kafr EI-Sheikh Governorate. Also, Malawy
(the high cultivated area) and Dair Mawas (the low cultivated area) in Menia Governorate. Determining the differences between the four studied districts and the total degrees of adoption package of sugar beet production Determining the relationship between the total adoption degree of sugar beet package as the dependant variables and each of the independents. This research population was the total of sugar-beet growers In the two districts of each governorate. It reached 15109 farmers in Sidy Salem, and Fewa. It reached 1351 farmers at Malawy and Darr Mawas. The sample size In Kafr El-Sheikh were 390 respondents, while in Menia reached 308 respondents. Data were collected by personal interview using a pre-tested questionnaire with interviews. Test of "t", simple correlation coefficient and ANOVA were the statistical tools for analyzing data statistically. The main results were that: There Is a significant difference of the average of adoption between the respondents of Sidy Salem and Fewa for each of the recommendations at 0.01 & 0.05 levels. Dealing with the analysis of variance and (f) ratio: There were significant differences between the four districts and the total adoption degrees of the recommendations of sugar beet package, except suitable soil for the old lands and irrigation in the lime soils.
