Abstract: Determine the extension knowledge needs of honey bee breeders in Kafir El-Sheikh governorate through achievement the following specific objectives:
1- Identifying some respondents characteristics.
2- Detemining the extension knowledge needs of respondent.
3- Study the correlation relationship between the respondents knowledge level as dependent variable and some characteristics as independent variables.
4- Explaining the variation in knowledge level of the respondents.
5- Identifying the problems which the respondents suffer from and their suggestions to face it.
Study data were collected by using questionnaire through personal interviews from a random sample of 24 respondents which representing about 37% from the total number of honey bee breeders in the four studied districts which were Killen, Kafer-El-Sheikh, Desouk and Beyalla. Frequencies, percentages arithmetic mean. Standard deviation, simple and multiple correlation coefficients, Partial and standard partial regression coefficients multiple regression were used to analyze data statistically. The main results of this study were summarized as following: Second: Concerning the knowledge ledge level in field of honey bee breeding: The results cleared that nearly 96% of the respondents Were come in low and medium categories of knowledge level that reflex their high and medium needs in the studied field. Third concerning the correlation relationship between the honey bee breeder knowledge level and some respondents characteristics.
The results showed that there were three independent variables correlated significant at level of significance 0.01 which were number practice year in field of bee breeding. Self estimation to opinion leaders and general knowledge while this relationship were significant at level of significance 0.05 with both of reference sources. Satisfaction, about job in field of bee breeding and informal social participation. Fourth: Concerning explaining the variation in knowledge level of respondents from bee breeders: The study results pointed out that the multiple correlation coefficient between the independent variables combined and the respondents knowledge level was 0.599 which significant, at 0.01 level of significance according to (F) value, the studied independent variables combined explaining nearly 36% from the knowledge level variation of the respondents the main importance of their variables according to its officiating were: General knowledge, number of practice year in field of bee breeding informal social participation age educational case, self estimation to opinion leadership and achievement motivation. Fifth: Concerning the problem which face the respondents and their suggesting to get ride on it: The results indicated that the most persisting problems related the studied field were as follows: High prices of sugar and lack of pollen, difficulties to get at good bee Queens, high prices of the required drugs to control the bee disrease, shortage of cooperative marketing for honey bee product, high coat for producing the honey, spreading farroa disease and difficulties to get ride on it and the competition between the cheated honey and good honey in the market then the consumer be unable to distinguish between them.
