Some nariables affectlng the Mango grower's adoption to agricultural practices in ismalia and Sharkia goverorates.

Abstract: This research is mainly concerned with marking out the examined growers. A doption to new agricultural practices, discovering the contribution of each variable of the independent variables with immaterial relationship in explaining the difference of the levels of the grower's adoption to new agricultural practices, and realizing the obstacles which face the examined growers while odopting the new agricultural practices.
That research was made in Ismalia and sharkia governorates considering them the biggest governorates growing mango in Egypt . the study was done on three villages in three towns of each governorate. It was taken into consideration on choosing the villoges and towns to have the biggest area of mango. The research sample consists of 210 examired growere who were chosen randomly from the mango growers Iists found in the agricultural associations of the chosen villages with nearly 15% of each of the six chosen villages. The data was collected in January 2005, by on application filled during an intervieu designed specially for that purpose.
The study data was analysed by person smple correlation coefficient, correlative onalyse sample, step – wise sample, arithmetic mean, stondard deviation, relative variation coefficient, percentages and repetitive presentation Iists.
The most important conclusions of the research are:
The sample members adoption to new agricultural practices level increased, these practices are:
Growing mango by big trees, spraying mango trees with 2% yorya during december, January and adding potassium frequently in the fertilization program. The adoption level decreased concerning five agricultural practices:-removing all the fruits given by the tree in the first three years, spraying with oxiun copper color solution 500 Gr. 1 100 litre of water after the lopping process, gathering the fruits once the features of ripeness appear, fruits should be cut from the neck with sharp scissores, spraying with oxiun copper color by 400 Gram. / 100 litre of water after gathering the and banning them, and using cartoon packets with one or two layer to pack the crop. The general level of the mango growers adoption to the new agricultural practices is 42, 6%.
The conclusions also proved that there are two variables that contribute together by 56% in explaining the variation in the total level of the growers adoption to the new agricultural practices, these variables are : the grower's education level and the innovation level.
The conclusions also proved that the greatest obstacles that faced the mango grower's adoption to new agricultural practices ale. the high costs of the new seedlings for high production, not having a specialist gardener in the agricultural associations and the high costs of the alternatives of insecticides and fertilizers.
