Adoption of some veterinary practices among cattle breeders in some villages in Kafr El-sheikh Governorate.

Abstract: This study aims at identifying the level of breeders adoption of some veterinary practice and at discovering the factors that related to adoption and the factors that explain the variance in adoption.
To realize those objectives, data were collected from a random sample of 270 animal Breeders from nine villages in Kafr El-sheikh Governorate
Percentages, Correlation, regression and step-wise multiple regression techniques (step-wise solution) were used for data presentation and analysis.
The result of the study showed that:
1. The less Adoption of veterinary practice are : artificial insemination (21.1%) , making animal records (24.8%) , Routine investigation of the animal (32.2%) , analysis and Laboratory examination of animal every 6 month (34.8%) , Pregnancy must be occur under veterinarian supervision (43.7%) , Using a mixture of dry feed during Berseern season (45.9%) and veterinary care to the animal during pregnancy (50%) .
2. The majority of Breeders (56%) enjoy a low Ievel of Adoption of veterinary practice.
3. The independent variables of this study explain about 39.6% of the total variance of adoption of veterinary practice as partial regression coefficients show that six independent variables make significant unique contributions to the regression equation. They are education , level of living ,veterinary facilities ,mass media exposures ,Cosmopolitans, and Opinion Leadership in the field of animal production .
The step-wise solution yielded a reduced equation containing five independent variables that explain about 35.4% of the variance , in the level of veterinary practices. These variables are mass media exposures (20.3%), Knowledge level in the field of animal production (10.1%), Level of living (2.5%), veterinary facilities (1.4%). and Opinion Leadership in the field of animal production (1.3) .
