The problems which face the extension field agents in developing of rural leaders in Gharbia and Menofia governorates.
Abstract: This study aimed to determine the problems which face the extension field agents in developing of rural leaders, determine level of the total knowledge of respondents in development of the Rural leaders and determining the relationship between some independent variables and the total Degrees Knowledge of the extension field agents.
The study was conducted in sonic districts of Gharbia and Menofia governorates. Data were collected by personal interview using a questionmaire from random sample amounting to 180 respondents representing about 50% of the total numbers of the extension field agents in the districts which were selected for the study in the two governorates. Percentages, arithmetic means, standard deviation, Person simple correlation coefficient, partial, standard partial regression coefficient, multiple correlation, chi –square, and step–wise multiple regression were used as tools for statistical analysis.
The results of this study revealed that:
1- 80% of respondents had level of total knowledge ranged
between low level and mean level, and 20% of them had a high level .
2- Also, findings showed that there was a positive significance relationship at 0.01 level between the total degrees knowledge of the respondents in problems of developing of the rural leaders and some independent variables such as, age, experience in extension work and degree of benefit from training while the relationship was significant at0.05 level for two variables the experience in the agricultural work , and number of training days.
3- Findings showed too, most significant independent variables which affected the total degrees of knowledge in problems which face the respondents to development of the rural leaders were age, experience in agricultural work, and degree of benefit from training, those variables contributed 33.3% in explaining the variance in dependent variable { total degrees of knowledge in problems which face the respondents to development of the rural leaders).
