OBSTACLES OF PROVIDING VETERINARY UNITS FOR ANIMAL CARE SERVICES IN KAFR EL-SHEIKH GOVERNORATE

Abstract: The main objective of this study was to identify the obstacles of
providing animal care services in the veterinary units in Kafr El-Sheikh
governorate, as well as to identify the difference between the each of those
obstacles and some independent variables and finally to identify the
respondents' suggestions to activate the role of veterinary units in providing
veterinary care services. The size of the sample according to the equation of
Krejcie and Morgan 83 veterinary units which were randomly selected from
104 veterinary units in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate. Frequencies,
percentages, mean and arithmetic weighted mean, standard deviation, and Ttest were used for analyzing data.
The main results were as follows:
1- The level of obstacles which hinder providing animal care services in the
studied veterinary units was moderate. The obstacles were ranked as follows,
obstacles of providing the medical services, obstacles of providing veterinary
awareness services, obstacles of providing preventive services from seasonal
diseases, obstacles of providing Artificial Vaccination services,
Immunization against diseases.
2- There was a difference in obstacles of providing veterinary awareness
services according to the difference between the respondents in terms of
satisfaction with the possibilities available, and the adequacy of medical
equipment.
3-There was a difference in obstacles of providing the medical services
according to the difference between the respondents in terms of all the
studied independent variables except the variable access to veterinary
training?
4-There is a difference in obstacles of providing preventive services
according to the difference between the respondents in terms of

satisfaction with the interest in developing units work, and satisfaction
with the possibilities available to them.
5-There was a difference in obstacles of providing immunization
services according to the difference between the respondents in terms
of satisfaction with the possibilities available in those units only?
6-The most important respondents' suggestions to activate the role of
veterinary units in providing veterinary care services were: to provide
effective medicines at low prices with interest in economic treatment,
and then provide the necessary technical equipment for work, as well
as attention to extension and veterinary awareness and the work of
training programs
