An analytical study of the modernization process of egyptian farmers.

Abstract: This research was carried out in a village in Kaphre Saad County in Damietta Governorate, a random sample of 175 farmers were selected. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between farmer's modernity and 29 independent variables. Simple correlation analysis revealed that eleven variables out of the 29 studied variables were significantly associated with farmer's modernity. Step-Wise multiple correlation and regression analyses showed that only tow independent variables namely, years of education and number of family persons whom had finished the primary school level. These tow variables jointly contributed to 25 percent of. the total variation of farmer's modernity.
