It also aimed to determine the effects of some personal social characteristics and traits of those trainees on their total kn¬owledge after the attendance of training courses .
To realize the objectives of this study two questionnaires were designed to collect data before and after the attendants of the training course which were filled through personal interview of 281 respondent. representing all the female agriculturalists who attended 10 training courses conducted in soma A.R.E. gove¬rnorates organized for the project of "Raising efficiency of rural women efficiency in the field of food production" which were implemented jointly by the M.O.A. of Egypt and F.A.O. with the objective of preparing such trainees to work as fem¬ale extension agents . Data ware treated statistically by utilizing in its presentation and analysis averages, standard deviation, "T" test, simple correlation and multiple correlation and regression (Step-wise) provided by the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) of the computer .
The study revealed that there was significant difference between trainees level of knowledge before and after the attendance of training courses in all the first 6 prementioned agricultural and homeconomics knowledge area, while there was no significant difference in the last area .
The study also revealed that there was significant difference between the average levels of total knowledge of the interviewed trainees before and after such training courses, which refers to the success of these courses in realizing their objectives. On the other hand the study revealed that there was signifi¬cant positive relationship at the 0.01 level with the two independent variables namely educational level of the respondent and the period of experience in her work; they accounted for about 11 percent of the total variance Of the differe¬nces between trainees level of total knowledge before and after the attendance of training courses . The variable Of experience alone explained about 7 percent of this total variance . So it is highly recommended to consider these characteristics of female agriculturalists when choosing them for training in order to provide better chances for the success of such training courses.
