An analytical study of some variables related to some types of extension communication behaviour of farmers.

Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between degree of Egyption and Saudi farmers mass media exposure, contact with agricultural change agents and cosmopoliteness, as dependent vari¬ables and some personal and situational variables.
Multiple correlation and regression analyses revealed that only cosmopoliteness, aspirations, and contact with agricultural change agents were significantly associated with Egyptian farmer's mass media exposure in 1978 to the extent that these three variables jointly contributed to 46% of the total variation of it. Also they showed that only years of education and age were significantly associated with Egyptian farmer's mass media exposure in 1987 . These two variables jointly contributed to 34% of its predictability. And that Saudi farmer's years of education was significantly associated with it and contributed to 24.6% of its predictability. Also they revealed that moss media exposure and cosmopoliteness were significantly associated with Egyptian farmer's contact with agricultural change agents in 1978 to the extent that these two variables jointly contributed to 33% of the total variation of it. And that only number of occupations was significantly associated with Saudi and Egyptian farmer's contact with agricultural change agents in 1987 and contributed to 8% and 10% of their predictability respect¬ively . Also they showed that. mass media exposure, opinion leadership, contact with agricultural change agents, innovativeness, aspirations were significantly associated with Egyptian farmer's cosmopoliteness in 1978 and contributed to 47.75% of its predictability. And that only number of occupations was significantly associated with Saudi and Egyptian farmer's cosmopoliteness in 1987, And contributed to 19% and 31% of their predictability respectively.
