The predictive values of some variables related to farmers social participation leadership in an Egyptian village.

Abstract: This study was carried out in a village in Demietta District in Damietta governorate, A random sample of 36 Leaders of social participation were selected. Data were collected through personal
interview based on pretested questionnaire . This research aimed to study the relationship between farmers degree of formal and non - formal Social participation Leadership ,as dependant variables, and 14 independent variables.
Step - Wise multiple correlation and regression analyses revealed that only two independent variables namely, mass media exposure and formal leadership, were significantly associated with degree of formal social participation to the extent that these two variables jointly contributed to 21 % of the total variation. Also they showed that only contact with agricultural change agents, formal social participation and cosmopoliteness were significantly associated with degree of non - formal social participation. These three variables jointly contributed to 69 % of its predictability.
