ِA study on training needs assessment for agricultural extension workers in Monofia governorate

Abstract: This Research was conducted in Monifia Governorate through a random sample of agricultural extension workers amounted to I4I representing from their population.
Main objectives were to:
I- Assess their training needs, with frequency and percentage and derived stander scores (T).
2- Determine the differences between training areas dealing with degrees of training needs.
3- Determine the main areas which explain the variance of total training needs scores.
4- Determine the relationship between training needs scores and some personal and career variables.
Results reveled that there were difference between the distribution of respondents according to fluid score and derived (T) stander score. It was found that there a significant difference betweens cores of training needs for various training areas.
The main training areas which considered as explanatory the variance of total training needs scores were clientele psychology, communication and Ext. Teaching methods and Ext. management and organization.
Results indicate also .that there is significant positive relationship between the total training needs score and years spent in the extension service.
