A comparative study of the attitudes of agricultural secondary schools and collages students towards working in Egyptian rural areas after graduation.

Abstract: This study aims to identify the attitudes of agricultural secondary schools and collages students towards working in rural areas after graduation to determine some personal , family and societal factors which affect. Their attitudes and to indentify the main reasons of desire or not desire to work in rural areas . For realizing these objectives a questionnaire was designed and filled through personal interviews. Data were collected from two random samples (200 secondary schools students and 370 colleges students in Kafer EL Sheikh Menuofia, Fayoum and Menia governorates "z" test "Chi_Square" test, Tschuprows "T" and Cramer,s "V" coefficients were used to analyse the data. The results of the study revealed that there was significant difference at the .01 level between the attitudes of secondary schools and colleges students (70 percent against 3I percent) Results also revealed that there were 12 independent variables which explained together about 4I percent of the variance in secondary schools attitudes towards working in rural areas, while these independent variables explained together about 39 percent of the variance in colleges students attitudes.
