An analytical study of. effectiveness barriers of agricultural extension meetings in A.R.E

Abstract: This study mainly aimed to recognize barriers which face effectiveness of agricultural extension meetings. Data were collected from 238 extension agents-as a random sample by personal interview through prepared questionnaire at 16 districts :n 8 governorates. Data analysis used percentages, Chi square, weighted mean, and contingency coefficient. Findings showed that the important effectiveness bar¬riers of extension meetings are : Barriers relevant to extension agents are : ability weakness to receive farmers hospitably, Convincing farmers,and using extension aids . b)Barriers relevant to extension meetings are : unsuitable tining, specialists don't care with meeting times, arrining to meeting place is diff¬icult, comfart means are not available, late invitation to meetings, meeting takes lang time, no time to held meetings, and leng approval procedures of holding meetings . c) Barriers relevant to facilities are : insufficent extension aids, no provision of miscellaneaus fulds, insufficiency of transportation means, and comp¬licated procedures of attaining audio-visual aids. d) Barriers relevant to farmers are: no time punct¬uation in attending meetings , invalvement in lany autside discussions, no seriousness in making of meetings, and no content in the benifit of extension meetings.
