Evaluation of educational effects of rice extension demonstration fields in Egyptian rice Production governorates

Abstract: This research aims at identification of the educational effects of Rice extension demonstration fields in the governorates of its major production in Egypt.
To realize that 406 farmers were interviewed from whom 64 were farmers of demonstration fields, 164 from their neighbors and 178 as control group. Tables of percentages and critical ratio were used as statistical tools for data presentation and analysis.
The results of this research revealed that there are significant differences between farmers of demonstration field and both of the two other groups with regard to majority of the studied recommendation. This assures the positive direct effects of the demonstration fields as extension teaching method.
Alike there are significant differences between neighbo and the control group farmers which inturn assure post indirect effects of the demonstration fields as an extension teaching method.
From these results, a conclusion could be deducted that she demonstration extension fields have both positive direct and indirect effects on the knowledge and practices of Rice producers. This assures the importance of continuing use of demonstration fields as an effective extension teaching method.
