An analytical study of local agricultural extension activities in Qalyoisia governorate
Abstract: This study, aimed to analyze the activities of agricultural extension work, at local level in respect to its importance, its perfor¬mance recently, the desire to do it in future. Data were collected using personal interview from 135 extension agents as random sample from these districts in Qalyobia governorate.
Arithmatic mean, and Kendall coefficient of concordance were used to analyze the data.
The findings indicated that:
The majority of respondents gave high grade of importance to the most of the studied activities and carried all of these activities with medium level, and the majority of the respondents gave high grades of desire to implement most of these activities in future. These results indicated that there are relatively weakness in agricultural extension activities at local level, so we have to had out the problems which face the performance of these activities and its solutions to support agricultural extension efforts.
