The extension agents training needs for some production processes of citrus fruits at Kalubia governorate
Abstract: This study aimed at identifying the levels of knowledge end implementation needs for extension agents related to some prod¬uction processes of citrus fruits It aimed also et identifying the degree of significance between the level of knowledge needs and implementation needs. Finally, it aimed at determi¬ning the relationship between come personal characteristics of the respondents and their knowledge and implementation needs of the studied production processes.
Data were collected from a sample of 120 extension agents at Kelubia governorate in November, 1994 in data analysis, frequency, percentages average, Chi-Square, and the coeffi¬cient of concordance were used.
Results revealed that the levels of knowledge and implementa¬tion needs of the studied citrus production processes were high . The study also revealed that the knowledge needs of about one third ( 30 – 83% ) of the respondents were high, whereas the implementation needs of about half of the respondents (48-33%) were high . Results also showed that there was significant rela¬tionship between the respondents ' years of experience end their knowledge needs of the studied production processes. Also, there was a rignificant relationship between respondents' ages and their identification of their implementation needs for the studied production processes of citrus fruits.
The relationships between the rest of the respondents perso¬nal traits and their identification of their knowledge and imp¬lementation needs were in significant.
