Rural women's attitude towards modernization and its relationship to some educational, social, & economic variables affecting it

Abstract: This study aims mainly to determine the levels of rurals women's attitudes towards modernization process and its different dimensions as well. it examines the relationship between the degree of attitude and some studied independent variables, Identify the contr1hulion percen¬tage of they independent variables correlated significantly to rural women's attitude towards modernization in explaining its total Variance.
Data were collected by personal interview from 120 random sample of farmers' wives at Sandanhor village of hanha district. Qalyoubia governorate. Simple correlation coefficient, multiple correlation and regression analysis "Step - Wise". percentages. Means and frequencies were used to analyze the data statistically .
The main results of the study revealed that:
of the interviewees expressed detachment from their extended kinship with a degree of either moderate or high, 71.67% of them had a moderate or high cosmopolitanness the majority of interviewees (85,83%) had moderate or high attitude towards change, 87.5 do not agree to let authority in hands of males with a degree of moderate or high.
The individual efficiency of 56.67% was stated as moderate or nigh. -64.13% of the interviewees had either moderate or high attitudes towards modernization.
- the variables of ages, period of marriage, level of education, the degree of family members education and aspiration degree had significant relationship with the degree of rural women attitudes towards modernization.
- The variable degree of interviewee's education contributed significantly for explaining 25.17% of the total variance in rural women altitudes towards modernization.
