Social changes in the Sinai's families resulted from development in the north Sinai

Abstract: The study aims to determine respondents knowledge degree and benefit from implementing development projects, determine structural and functional changes taken place in the Sinai family after implementing the development projects, the relationship between some respondents personal variables and their knowledge degree and benefit from development projects, and the relationship between respondents knowledge and benefit from development projects and the structural and functional changes occurred in Sinai family. A purposive sample of 400 married householders whose ages more than fourty years old and have sons was chosen from three districts which are the biggest in families number in north Sinai governorate. From each district two villages were choosen according to the same criterion. Data were collected by a specific questionnaire through personal interview. Data collection lasted three months from July to September 2004. for analyzing data parmeaters, chi-square test, simple correlation, and "t" test were used.
