Toward Developing and Applying A Scale For Role of Agricultural Extension Workers in The Extension Meetings in El- Behira Governorate

Abstract: The main objective of this research is to develop and apply a scale for role of agricultural extension workers in the extension meetings in El-Behira Governorate.
To accomplish this objective five specific objectives were taken into consideration:
1-Developing and validity testing a scale to measure role of respondents in extension meeting method.
2-Field applying of the scale for validity in measuring degree of respondent's role in extension meeting.
3-A study of the impact of some independent variables on
respondent's role in extension meeting.
4-To determine the major problems which face respondents
conducting such meetings and their suggestions to solve them.
5-To suggest a model to increase respondents ffectiveness in extension meetings.
Data were collected from 150 respondents by using a questionnaire through personal interview in El-Behira Governorate. Percentages, standard deviation, simple correlation, multicorrelation, multiregression, and chi-square test, were utilized as statistical methods.
Research result revealed that the scale is valid and reliable after testing (a) Alfa Coronbackh 0.695.
The scale indicated that there is a significant positive correlation between respondent role in the meetings and each of the following variables age of extension worker, exposing to training, level of aspiration, satisfaction about agricultural work.
