REQUIREMENTS OF IMPROVING DIETARY PATTERN OF RURAL FAMILIES AT KAFR EL-SHEIKH Governorate

Abstract: , This study aimed at identifying the requirements of improving dietary pattern of rural families at Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. A questionnaire form was designed for this purpose, rural women's dietary pattern as a dependent variable as well as 12, independent variables were included. A systematic random sample of 163 rural wives was selected from 3 villages at Kafr El- Sheikh, Desoque, and Kalline districts. Frequencies, percentages, F &- t tests, alpha coefficient, Z & T scores simple correlation, stepwise .multiple regression {Forward solution} were. used to analyze data With sPSS V(17) statistical program.
The most important findings of the study were:
i)The majority- of rural' women got high degrees .of awareness in dietary knowledge and levels of dietary pattern.
ii)Rural women's education food knowledge, opinion leadership, and high levels of living. standards were the main determinants for improving dietary patterns of rural famines. Finally some recommendations were suggested
