Needle Aspiration Biobsy Technique as a New Precise Method for Diagnosis of Brucellosis in Cattle

Abstract: SUMMARY:
Needle aspiration biopsy and necropsy samples were collected from prefemoral and/or supramammary lymph nodes of 68 brucella seropositive cows. The samples were suspended in distilled water and dropped on glass slides to demonstrate brucella antigen using direct fluorescent antibody technique. Suspension from samples were cultured to propagate brucella organisms. 86.8% of the samples were positive using fluorescent antibody technique while brucella was isolated only from 10.3%of the samples. The study presents needle aspiration biopsy as a new precise technique for brucella diagnosis in living cattle
