Trials for preparation and evaluation of inactivated vaccine against Newcastle, infectious bronchitis egg drop syndrome fowl cholera and infectious coryza diseases

Abstract: Inactivated Newcastle disease virus (NDV), infectious bronchitis virus (IBV); egg drop syndrome (EDS); P.multocida(PM), and infectious coryza(IC) were prepared as monovalent and polyvalent oil emulsion vaccines in chicken. Immunogenicity of monovalent vaccines were compared wih that induced by the polyvalent one. Seroconversion for blood samples at wekly intervals was carried out for evaluation of humoral immune response. Results revealed that humorla immunity with the new polyvalent vaccine were never inferior to those obtained with the monovalent one by using ELISA, SNT and HI. MOreover, there was no significant difference in teh immune response induced by monovalent or polyvalent vaccine in vaccinated chickens, and also challenge of vaccinated chicken by virulent strains of Pasteuralla multocida and Haemophilus paragallinarum. it can be concluded that such experimental polyvalent(NDV+IBV+EDS+FC and IC) inactivated vaccine was safe and an immunogenic and produce satisfactory dual protection against NDV, IBV, EDS, FC and IC.
