Avian Capital: intra- specific variation of eimeria tenella in chicken using rapid technique in Egypt

Abstract: Random amplified polymorphic DNA and electrophoreis in polyacrylamid gel provided characteristic fingerprints or gebetic polymorphism for Eimeria tenella (E.tenella) isolates these were collected from three didderent localitis in Egypt ( EL-Sharkia, El-Fayoum and El-Kalyobia provinces). Ten oligonucleotides primers reflected different phylogenetic relationship among the 3 E.tenella isolates.
The degree of similarity between the three isolates reflectedthe presence of both speciesnspecific and even strain specific band (s) the statisitical analysis suggested closer phylogenetic relationship between El-Fayom and El-Kalyobia E.tenella isolates which are distantly related to El-Sharkia isolate.
RAPD technique could easily differntiate with a great potential minor changes in the genomes of the related genotypes of E.tenella isolates in Egypt.
