Studies on avain coccidiosis : preparation and evaluation of eimeria tenella vaccine in chickens private

Abstract: Attenuated Eimeria tenella vaccine was prepared using 60 Co ionizing iradiation the prepared meterial was experimentally applied in 2 weeks old chicks chicks were divided into 4 groups. the 1 st group was vaccinated with a single dose of the vaccine . the 2nd group was vaccinated with 2 successive doses of the vaccine. The 3rd and 4th group were kept as controls.
The safety of iradiated vaccine was proved in vaccinated chicks within 4 weeks under complete observation. Measurement of the immune reponse of the attenuated vaccine in both vaccinated groups using Elisa technique, revealed high titers of anti -E_ tenella anti bodies. Post challenge all vaccinated chicks provoked a satisfactory immunity against local virulent strain of E tenella . vaccineated chicks ( group A and b ) showed no symptons of the diseases with lower of oocysts no symptons of the diseases with lower number of ooccysts output and no death. The second vaccinated group ( group B) recorded best results than the first( group A) susceptible chicks ( group D) showed caecal coccidiosis with bloody diarrhoea and some chicks died.
