Use of mycobacterium phlei as an immunopotentiating factor with inactivated RVF vaccine

Abstract: Lymphocyte transformation test (LTT) and serum neutralization test (SNT) were used to assess the effect of Mycobacterium pheli(M.pheli) as non-specific immunopotentiating agent in sheep vaccinated with inactivated RVF vaccine.
M.pheli in dose of 100mg or 150mg could induce clear cell mediated immune response (CMIR) and augment the neutralizing antibodies with no great differences between them.
It could be concluded that M.pheli may allow for a choice to enhance the immunity in order to further stimulate the protective effects on RVF vaccination of sheep.
