Immunological evaluation of avian pasteurellosis vaccine prepared from local isolates and srandard strains

Abstract: This study was conducted to prepare and evaluate a polvalent host specific oil adjuvantvaccin aganist P.multocida serotype A,B and D field isolates of chickens, turkcys and ducks. A total of one huadred and eighty birds were divided into 3 groups, 60 birds for each specific vaccines and 20 birds vaccinated with polyvalent vaccines. These birds were re ceved 2 doses of the prepared bacterin one month apart followed by a third dose from com mercial vaccines. safety and potency of the prepared vaccines were evaluated by the survivalrate of the vacciated and challenged birds. THe humoral immune response was measured by ELISA, IHA and passivemouse protection test. these bacterins express protective and highly immunogenic host specific antigens against virulence challenge.
