Experimental vaccination of broilers with necrotic enteritis vaccine

Abstract: In broiler chickens farm a flock of five thousand birds (two weeks old), one thousand chickens were vaccinated with necrotic enteritis locally prepared vaccines with (gel or oil adjuvant) five hudred chickens for each vaccine. Each chicken recieved two doses of 0.5 ml at three weeks interval . Serum samples were collected before vaccination, three weeks after the first dose and two weeks post second dose. All chickens were reared with the rest unvaccinated chickens (four thousands). The results showed that higher immune response lower mortalitiy rate and increase in body weight gain in the vaccinated two groups than the unvaccinated chickens.
