Immune response of sheep vaccinated with combined PPR and FMD vaccine

Abstract: A total of 15 Balady sheep were divided into three groups, one which received a mouovalent (type O1 Aga 93) inactivated food and mouth disease (FMD) vaccine another which received inactivated tissue culture peste des petite ruminant (PPR) vaccine and a third which received both vaccines (combined). The serological response to vaccination were determined weekly for 4 week and then every two weeks up to the 24th week post vaccination, by using serum neutralization test and ELISA technique. the combined vaccine produced on ill effects and the serological responses did not differ significantly from the response to either vaccine given separately.
