Trails for preparation of combined vaccine against Newcastle and gumboro diseases

Abstract: A tissue culture combined live attenuated vaccine was prepared against Newcastle and infectious bursal disease the virus of the two disease were propagated in vero cell cultures .this vaccine was evaluated in 3 weeks old broiler chicks through the estimation of the humoral antibody levele in vaccinated birds using serum neutralization test (SNT) and heamagglutination inhibition test (HI).Also, lymphoecyte blastogenesis, bursal index and histopathological examination of the burse were carried out vaccinated chicks were challenged against virulent Newcastle disease (ND) and infectious bursal disease (IBD)3 weeks post vaccination all these tests revealed that the prepared vaccine was safe, potent and immunogenic and could be used to protect chicks against both of ND and IBD without any antagonizing effects.
