Comparative study on the effect of stabilizer dilutions on the newcastle disease virus vaccines.

Abstract: In comparative study of the effect of different dilutions of three stabilizers on the potency of newcastle disease vaccines. It was found that gelatine is the most preferable stabilizer used when added to K-strain of NDV vaccine amd Hitchner B1 strain vaccine. It was added in dilution of 40% to K-stain vaccine giving mean virus titre 9.43 while lactalbumin gives mean virus titre 9.15 at dilution 20 or 30% and skimmed milk gives 8.55 mean virus titre 9.07 at dilution 30% in case of B1 strain vaccine in compariosn to lactalbumin which gave mean virus titre 8.63 at 50% dilutions while skim milk gave mean virus ttire 8.71 at 40% dilution.
