Cytopathological And Electron Microscopic Investigations On Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease Virus

Abstract: In this report, rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV) was isolated from local cases of diseased rabbits. Experimentally inoculated rabbits with the isolate revealed clinical and pathological findings of RHD. The isolate was propagated in Vero cell cultures and this propagated virus was identified and characterized by haemagglutination (HA) test, immunofluorescence (IF) and virus neutralization (VN) test using reference rabbit anti-RHDV serum as will as by studying its cytopathology and electron microscopy (EM).
