Detection of Antigen Content of Inactivated oil newcastle Disease vaccines by a new laboratory method

Abstract: Quantitation of the haemagglutination activity (HA) of the extracted Newcastle disease virus vaccine (NDV) antigen of 4 experimentally prepared batches of oil emulsion NDV vaccines using isopropyl myrisate (IPM) was carried out. The HA activity of extracted antigen were the same as initial antigen used for vaccines preparation. In a full dose vaccination , challenge model, the results of immune response and protection percent were correlated well with the extracted HA antigen for each vaccine. In-vitro antigen extraction from inactivated oil emulsion NDV vaccine using (IPM) provides a simple, rapid and accurate indicative for potency of inactivated vaccines.
