Preliminary trials for preparation of trivalent live attenuated vaccine against Newcastle, infectious Bronchitis and infectious bursal disease viruses
Abstract: A combined trivalent living attenuated vaccine against Newcastle disease (ND), infectious bronchitis(IB) and infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) was prepared. Monovalent vaccines against each virus were also prepared. Immnunological response to the new trivalent vaccine was evaluated by injecting groups of susceptible chickens with either trivalent or monovalent vaccines. Seroconversion for blood samples at weekly intervals was carried out fro evaluation of humoral and cellular immune response against viruses using haemagglutination inhibition test (HI), serum neutralization test and lymphocyte blastogenesis. The results proved that the locally prepared trivalent live attenuated vaccine was efficient, safe, potent and protective against ND, IB and IBD viruses.
