Required measures for production of Newcastle disease vaccine from the locally embryonated chicken eggs.

Abstract: Running warm water was used for washing the embryonated chicken eggs as their fumigation with any level of formaldehyde gas is not recommended as it may kill the developing embryos . The use of quaternary ammonium compound may affect the functional properties of the egg-shell with respect to water loss and gas exchange. The passaged versuses from the original F and B1 Newcastle disease virus strains could be used for preparation of the vaccines with high titer viruses. It is recommended to use the frozen seed material instead of the freeze-dried one for preparation of vaccines as the freeze-dryin process damages the viruses.
