Comparative studies for evaluation of sheep pox vaccine in lambs and lab animals

Abstract: A comprehensive study was conducted for evaluation of attenuated culture adapted sheep pox vaccine either using in-vivo and in-vitro methods for evaluation. The results of evaluation using laboratory animals in safety, potency and virus titration in vero cells culture were gone in harmony with the method using original host (lambs) vaccinated with sheep attenuated tissue culture vaccine and challenged with virulent sheep pox virus the method used lab. Animals and serological tests (in-vitro methods) are safe, cheaper easily to be applied and has no risk factors.
