PREPARATION OF DIETS FROM SOME FRUIT AND VEGTABLES PUREE FORTIFED WITH MALT EXTRACT

Abstract:
Malt extract is considered to be one of the most important products of barely which characterized by high content of very easily digested carbohydrates, low sucrose content, enzymatically hydrolyzed protein ,vitamins and minerals .
The aim of this investigate was study the possibility using malt extract in producing a baby food. The results declared that baby meal can be preparing by using up to 25% of malt extract with some of blanched sweet potato, apple and carrot purees and skim dried milk. The obtained results showed this meal most of daily nutrition element required to the infants (0-6years) with suitable conventions.
