OPTIMUM ROUTING FOR THE ENERGY EXPORT OF THE POTATO CROP IN EGYPT

Abstract: The research aims to study maximizing the return of Egyptian potato exports to the foreign markets, as well as the factors influencing it through the optimum routing of exports by using mathematical programming to five alternatives. It was found that the increase in the export price and reducing production costs per feddan leads to increase the Egyptian exports and these factors contribute to 69% of the total factors affecting Egypt exports.
Through the optimum routing for Egyptian exports of potatoes into the most important importing countries by increasing Egypt exports to Italy by 26.14 %, Lebanon by 22.46 %, Greece by 19.24 % , Federation Russia by 7.64 % , Germany by 8.53% , The United States by 6.56 %, Netherlands by 3.49 % and The United Arab Emirates by 1.9% where this increase in exports will lead to maximizing the return of exports by about $ 64 million by ratio of 39.95 %.
The study recommends at increasing the export capacity to these markets for its ability to absorb more of the Egyptian exports from potatoes.
