Effect of Noruron and Nitraline herbicide on yield of Sesame plant and quality of seeds.
|
|
Abstract: The response of sesame yield and its components as well as seed and oil characters to hoeing , Nororon and Nitraline were investigated in two field trials . Hoeing gave taller plants than chemical herbicides . Yield components were improved with chemical herbicides than with hoeing . The higher rates of chemical herbicides revealed greater yield components . Seed yield per feddan reached its maximum value with 2 Kg/ feddan of Noruron . Oil percentage , protein percentage and iodine value differed significantly owing to different herbicides treatments . Increasing the rate of herbicides increased iodine value of sesame oil significantly . Neither acids value nor saponificantion value affected significantly with herbicides treatments .
