Effect of alfatoxin B1 , Aspergillic and kojic acid on peanut seedlings

Abstract: The effect of 10, 25,50 and 100 ppm each of alfatoxin B1 , Aspergillic and Kojic Acid on the elongation and on the dry weight of roots and stems of Peanut seedling was studied .Aspergillic acid had an inhibitory effect between 10 and 48% on the elongation and between 6 and 67% on the dry weight of seedlings . alfatoxin B1 was more effective than Aspergillic acid , between 29-96 % inhibition on the elongation and between 66-97% on the dry weight was observed . Kojic Acid , on the other hand, stimulated the elongation between 3-13% and the dry weight stems between 7-37 %. Alfa toxin B1 developed chlorotic symptoms in treated plants ; Aspergillic and Kojic Acid did not do so
